Posted August 14, I have another XEN Pool running v5. There are two instances of each LUN. Granted, this is an EVA I have so it could very well be different.
But are the LUNs distributed between the assigned controllers? I am seeing the same thing with the EVA perfmon counters. They do, however, show a single controller in evaperf which is what I would have expected.

For a windows server we can see both controllers being used for the LUN presented to that server using EVA monitoring tools. Posted August 13, Mark this multiapth as best answer, if it answered your question.

Yes, I believe we have the correct multipath configuration file. When I run evaperf hc, even my windows hosts are connected to one controller but not both. I checked two different resource pools and both are using a single controller.
Antharwood1 Multipatn 6 Members 24 posts. A LUN will connect to just a single controller in a properly-working multipath configuration, but if you have multiple LUNs and two active controllers, they should be distributed between them.
Apologies for the inconvenience. Also, what are you running in evaperf to figure out which controller s your hosts are using? My physical Windows servers are showing as using both controllers even though the path preferences are set to prefer a path.
