BAKER") Judge Call - Cent. Ill. HBC (Tony McCauley) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 30 Jan 1995 17:19:47 -0500 From: hopfen at iac.net (Ed Westemeier) Subject: BJCP points My apologies for the lacuna in my recent post. If you need to contact James Spence to verify your BJCP points, he can be reached at: 70740.1107 at compuserve.com By the way, the annual mass mailing I spoke of has already gone out. I received mine in the mail today, so yours may be arriving shortly. And yes, I now have a card that says "National Judge" on it, so I expect everyone to buy me a beer at the first opportunity. ;-) Ed ****************************** * Ed Westemeier * * Cincinnati, Ohio * * E-mail: hopfen at iac.net * * Phone: (513) 321-2023 * ****************************** ------------------------------ Date: 30 Jan 95 17:48:28 EST From: "PATRICK N. BAKER" <74443.3040 at compuserve.com> Subject: Notification of Master status for B.A. Sather Dear fellow Beer Judges, This is Betty Ann Sather speaking. Today I was proud to receive notification of my Beer Judge Certification Program Master status and the coveted Master Judge gold-plated pin. I am a certifiable beer nut, love the homebrewing industry and the people I have had the joy of meeting via judging beer. This notification was tainted for me for the following reasons: - It was on American Homebrewers Association letterhead, not the Beer Judge Certification Program letterhead. - It was signed by James Spence who identified his position as AHA Administrator James Spence, in writing this notice, was acting on behalf of the Beer Judge Certification Program. He is paid to write this letter by the Beer Judge Certification Program. He is doing this in his function as the Beer Judge Certification Program Administrator. This is, in my opinion, one more example of James Spence and the American Homebrewers Association's efforts to undermine and pre-empt the Beer Judge Certification Program. Yours truly, Betty Ann Sather ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Jan 1995 23:17:11 -0600 (CST) From: afmccaul at rs6000.cmp.ilstu.edu (Tony McCauley) Subject: Judge Call - Cent. Ill.
