My pet peave is I think CAP is the only lager that states "no diacetyl allowed". I think diacetyl at threshold brings out the corn character. Think about it, who doesn't butter their corn on the cob?= A recipe I have doubt about is for Rauchbier; a brewer that studied in Germany say it is 100% rauchmalz maybe 5% caramel. Having never been to Bamberg I can't swear by that. An ambiguity: Cream ales state a variation of American light lager fermant as an ale.
